One's personal style may or may not involve wearing jewelry. Some prefer a quick inexpensive accessory while others take time and effort to find the perfect natural stone that fits their personality and taste.
Interesting enough, one's taste in jewelry could change in time...drastically. It isn't unusual for a shift to occur from inexpensive jewelry and then to finely crafted jewelry. Or, a shift from manufactured jewelry to handcrafted jewelry found at quaint shops like The Holding Place. Some shifts involve the amount of jewelry a person may want in their collection, preferring a few select pieces that are able to be worn for a variety of occasions.
Are you experiencing a shift in your preference of jewelry? Here are a few things to consider:
Inexpensive jewelry can be readily found at flea markets, vendor fairs, and even online, but did you know there are guides to make your own? Craft stores sell a wide variety of pieces needed to make bracelets, earrings, pins and more! It could be fun to explore a design and make your go to jewelry for everyday wear or special occasions. A piece you make could definitely turn out to be a conversation starter too! If you choose to make your own remember: practice makes perfect. Your skill will grow in time and might turn into the perfect gifts for friends and extra income!
Fine jewelry requires maintenance. Silver tarnishes if kept in open air, but maintained, silver and gold are precious stones are beautiful pieces that last years, can be passed down, and could even be considered an investment piece depending on what you select.
Handcrafted jewelry ranges in both price and quality and can be some of the most beautiful one of a kind pieces you'll find. The stories behind their making add to the jewelry "value" when given as a gift.
Whether you choose to be jeweled or not, please remember that your true beauty shines forth from within.
